Cape Henlopen State Park has one of the most pristine beaches on the East Coast and also offers visitors a fishing pier, hiking and biking trails, camp grounds and lots of wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, the park offers a glimpse of history with the remains of Fort Miles, a WWII army base. You can still see batteries and cannons and even climb one of the lookout towers for a spectacular view of the area.
